The Culture & Affective Neuroscience Laboratory is located in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. The lab houses newly renovated space including three psychophysiological testing rooms with audiovisual capabilities, two control rooms, and one data analysis room. The psychophysiology testing rooms are equipped with BIOPAC MP160WS system (BIOPAC Systems Inc., Goleta, CA, USA) that allows non-invasive, continuous recording of a variety of physiological responses linked to the autonomic nervous system activity, including electrocardiography, impedance cardiography, blood pressure, respiration, skin conductance, skin temperature, and finger purse. The lab also owns equipment that allows recording of brain responses and facial muscle movements via electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyogram (EMG), respectively. Other facilities provided in the lab include a mounted digital camera in each room for behavioral observation of on-going experiments and a 40-inch television with multiple display options.
